What Is Endo and Why Do You Need It?

Endo is the currency used to rank up mods in Warframe. Every mod in the game requires Endo and Credits to level up, with higher-rarity mods (Rare, Primed, Legendary) demanding exponentially more Endo per rank. A basic common mod might cost a few hundred Endo to max, while a Primed mod costs over 130,000 Endo to reach rank 10.

Players who are actively building optimized Warframes quickly discover that Endo is a persistent bottleneck. Maxing a single Primed Continuity costs about 132,375 Endo — and a full build on a single Warframe might use 5–8 Primed mods plus additional Rare mods. The total Endo investment per frame build can easily exceed 500,000.

Endo can be earned from dissolving unwanted mods, enemy drops, Ayatan Sculptures, Arbitrations rewards, and specific game modes. The most efficient methods differ significantly from casual gameplay — dedicated Endo farming is a common endgame activity.

Best Endo Sources in Warframe

Arbitrations — The Best Endo Farm

Arbitrations are the gold standard for Endo farming in Warframe. These high-difficulty elite missions require completing all Star Chart nodes (excluding Archwing, Conclave, and Lunaro) and are unlocked by achieving that milestone. Each mission type in Arbitrations features a rotating selection of nodes, and the Survival variant is the most Endo-efficient.

Arbitrations drop Endo directly in their reward pool — typically 1,000 or 1,750 Endo per rotation alongside Vitus Essence (the Arbitration store currency), Warframe parts, and occasionally Arcanes. The consistent 1,000 Endo drops every 10 minutes of Survival, combined with incidental enemy drops, brings the per-hour rate to 10,000–15,000 Endo for squads that can sustain the 20+ minute mark.

The catch is the difficulty: Arbitration enemies are augmented by an Arbitration Drone that makes nearby enemies invincible until the drone is destroyed. One-shot deaths are also enabled — you receive no bleed-out state. Bring a tanky, self-sufficient build. Inaros, Revenant, Hildryn, or well-built Nidus are excellent choices for sustaining these missions.

Farm Route: Arbitration Survival

Steps

1. Unlock Arbitrations by completing all available Star Chart nodes (including Sedna and all Junctions). This requires considerable progression.
2. Check the active Arbitration node in the Navigation menu. Wait for a Survival or Defense variant for best Endo yield.
3. Bring a tanky frame (Inaros, Revenant, Nidus) or a frame with damage immunity (Rhino Iron Skin, Hildryn Shields). One-shot deaths are a real risk.
4. Bring Nekros with Desecrate for bonus drops from Arbitration enemies — they also drop small Endo amounts on kill.
5. Collect every Endo drop on the ground; they appear as blue orbs labeled with the amount.
6. Stay for 20–40 minutes per run to accumulate rotation Endo rewards (1,000 or 1,750 per rotation interval).

Tips

• Arbitration Survival rewards Endo at the 10-minute rotation mark — plan your extraction around rotation timing.
• Bring a Carrier Sentinel with Vacuum for automatic drop collection in the heat of Arbitration combat.
• The Arbitration rotates every hour — if the current node is Defense or Interception, check back in an hour for Survival.

Ayatan Sculptures — Passive Endo Accumulation

Ayatan Sculptures are decorative collectibles found in hidden locations within mission tilesets. When filled with Ayatan Stars (small cyan or amber gems that drop from enemies), sculptures can be traded to Maroo at her Bazaar in the relay for large Endo payouts.

An Ayatan Amber Star is worth 3,450 Endo and an Ayatan Cyan Star is worth 450 Endo when traded to Maroo. Fully filled sculptures (which require multiple stars) yield 3,000–7,000 Endo depending on the sculpture type. Hunting Ayatan Sculptures during normal missions is highly recommended as a passive Endo supplement.

Maroo's Bazaar Relay also offers a weekly Ayatan Sculpture hunt mission — a free Exterminate mission with an Ayatan Sculpture guaranteed as a reward. This is an easy weekly Endo source that takes only a few minutes to complete.

Ayatan Star Farming Tips

• Ayatan Stars drop from many common enemies across all factions — you will naturally accumulate them during normal play.
• Ayatan Amber Stars are rarer but worth 7.67x more Endo per star than Cyan Stars — always fill sculptures with Amber Stars first.
• Sortie missions and Arbitrations drop Ayatan Stars more frequently than standard missions.
• Use the 'Sculptures' tab in the Arsenal or Star Chart to see current inventory and trade to Maroo at the relay.
• Never dissolve Ayatan Sculptures for Endo directly — trading them fully filled to Maroo gives far more Endo per sculpture.
