Affiliate Disclosure
How LootLore handles compensated links — current status and our disclosure standard.
Current status
LootLore does not currently participate in any affiliate program. No article on the site contains an affiliate link, and no editorial decision — coverage, ranking, recommendation — has been influenced by an affiliate relationship, because no such relationship exists.
If that changes
We may enrol in one or more retailer or marketplace affiliate programs in the future (for example, Amazon Associates for peripherals, or a games-marketplace program for digital storefront links). When that happens we will:
- Update this page to name every program we participate in and the rough nature of the compensation we receive (typically a small percentage of qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you).
- Display a clearly marked banner at the top of any article that contains an affiliate link, stating which links are compensated and what that means for our editorial process.
- Continue applying the same editorial policy and source policy — affiliate relationships do not change how we evaluate items, recommend builds, or rank options. Picks reflect editorial judgement first and revenue model second.
What this means for readers right now
Every outbound link on LootLore today is an editorial citation or a reference to a related guide on the site. None of them earn revenue. The site is currently funded by display advertising — see the privacy policy for how that works and how to manage your ads-cookies choice.
